Pottinger's
Theory of Carparktivity© We don't often undertake research on this site but one of our founding Professors has a theory, which he has considered over a number of years and which he is calling Pottinger's Theory of Carparktivity© [pronounced car-park-tivity].
Pottinger's Theory reads as follows:
In any public car park, regardless of the day of the week, or the time of day, or the size of car park (in
terms of the number of spaces available when empty, or the number of spaces currently occupied or unoccupied on your arrival),
and no matter where you park your vehicle on arrival, when you return to your vehicle to leave the car park, another vehicle will be in the process of parking in or leaving a space directly adjacent to yours, be that in front, behind or
on either side. |
We asked for your assistance in testing the Theory during 2004/05. A massive 80% of those responding said that the Theory worked for them. Our Chairman & Chief Executive has quite recently experienced double Carparktivity,
this is cars on both sides of his leaving at the same time! Polling is open again so record your vote below
(if you can't see the blue Bravenet box, try refreshing your screen a couple
of times).
After polling you'll see a graphical summary of the results so far: about 85% Yes
and 15% No (January 2010).Once you have tested the Theory you can download the appropriate free Carparktivity© sticker here!
